On Saturday, March 10, 2018, learn how we can effectively serve Volusia’s poor and homeless community without imposing additional taxes.
Take part in a workshop at the Deland City Hall Chambers led by Mr. Ismael Hernandez of the Freedom and Virtue Institute. FVI is a private service organization reaching out to minority communities, the poor and immigrants in Florida and around the world. Ismael’s Freedom & Virtue Institute advocates policies that create self-reliance, empowering individuals to better their situations and live a dignified, self-sustainable life. The Institute promotes liberty, self-reliance, and human dignity.
Please mark your calendar now and make plans to attend.
While we look forward Volusia County’s new programs and facilities for helping the homeless and families in need, we must make the programs succeed in their goals. Otherwise, it’s merely taxpayer money spent to warehouse a group of people to hide the problem. Volusia County tax money can easily be wasted on unnecessary studies, regulations, and requirements before the first person can be helped. Let’s not waste an opportunity to get real results quickly.
Ismael will pack a lot into a three hour workshop starting at 9 AM. There will be an optional work book available for its $10.00 printing cost.
The Freedom and Virtue Institute is not a tax payer funded organization. Ismael does not charge for his travel expenses or teaching time. Attendees will have the opportunity to confidentially donate to his important work and cover his expenses.
As a community, let’s learn how to inject real compassion into the lives of the homeless and needy in our community without adding unnecessarily to their number. It starts with you and me, not the government. Please register today for this important event. https://www.facebook.com/events/398920770513340/permalink/398922240513193/
