I haven’t been a politician, taking tax money for my salary for over 20 years.”
The incumbent has been living off the taxpayers for over 20 years. That’s not what the Founding Fathers of this great United States intended.
Even the first President, George Washington, saw the value in limiting himself to two terms.
Because career politicos get stuck in a rut, forget who they represent, and do their own thing (or what their top campaign contributors tell them to do). And we’ve seen that in Volusia County.
If you really believe higher property taxes, poor infrastructure, and giving away beach access to hotels is in your best interest, you are probably happy to vote for Mr. Patterson.
But if you want someone with a fresh sense, who will represent you to bring a bright future for everyone, who has no intention of being on the County Council until I fall asleep in meetings, I would appreciate your trust and your vote on August 28th, 2018. I will not betray you.
We need lower taxes, NO special election to try to fool you into raising your sales tax again, safe clean drinking water, fire and ambulance services that can actually respond when you need them, open beaches without toll booths, and well planned and maintained roads so we don't sit in traffic all day. Can we do that without raising taxes? Yes!
In fact, we can reduce taxes, cut non-essential programs, and stick to spending priorities that benefit every taxpayer, not just the chosen few. Our spending priorities should not change no matter how many campaign checks a favorite developer or business writes.
For the people to have power, vote for Jeff Brower.
